The legendary Joan Crawford takes on a singing and dancing role in 1953's 'Torch Song' in splendid technicolour. Though she might have been a bit too old for the part, she pulls it off. One scene done in a type of black face surprised me as I thought that aspect of show business had been laid to rest. Miss Crawford works well with her leading men Michael Wilding and Gig Young, both younger than her. Marjorie Rambeau, as usual, is delightful in a supporting role that brought her an Oscar Nomination in '53.
