Sure the movie will not be an Academy awards contender, its charm though is that it never tries to be. It never really is more than a sort of satiric comedy that looks at the life of a new yorker figuring things out for herself. It never tries to be more than that or create this beautiful love story trying to make audiences weep. It stays true to itself and its source material in portraying some real life situations. You know, to be honest, I'm not quite certain why I enjoyed this movie so much. The natural progression of the story, the great depiction of a good nature doctor by Bill Hader, the incredible screen presence (and surprisingly down-to-earth) James Lebron all make for a great movie experience. To be honest, this movie deserves to be seen if not only for its refreshing frankness. Somehow, a 7 doesn't do it justice. 7.5/10.
