What could easily have turned into a tedious re-telling of another McCarthy era anti-Communist story was transformed into a very entertaining movie by the superb performance of Bryan Cranston. A shoo-in for a best actor nomination for Cranston come Oscar season. Possibly a best screenplay nomination as well. The movie, however, wasn't all Cranston, with strong supporting performances by a large and rather impressive ensemble cast.
