    Waterloo Bridge

This original "WATERLOO BRIDGE" starring Mae Clarke can't hold a candle to the brilliant work of Vivien Leigh in the 1941 version, roughly speaking. The original seemed more tawdry in a depressing sort of way, which it should be, but the romance becomes rather stiff and somewhat boring. The stories are exactly alike, but you will see the so so version of James Whale in comparison to the resurrected 1941 gorgeous but tragic drama.
