This lurid melodrama from 1964 seems almost a fictional account of Lana Turner's daughter Cheryl Crane, stabbing her mother's mafioso lover, Johnny Stompanato back in 1955. Susan Hayward and Mike Connors slum in the film and Bette Davis took the role merely to earn the cash to pay for her daughter's wedding. A pretty horrendous film with no saving grace whatever. From a cheap, salacious novel by Harold Robbins.
