    Whistle Down the Wind

This charming and extraordinary film is both a Christ parable and a treatise of childhood innocence. In a remarkable directorial debut, Bryan Forbes brings a deft and heartwarming touch to this story of an escaped criminal Alan Bates) who is found by three young children in their barn and is thought by them to be Christ. Something a little different but clever.
