The Last Stand turned out to be less than expected. Like Star Wars, I was hoping for a great movie to end the series. We all know that Fox has signed on with Hugh Jackman to do Wolverine but the X-Men Franchise deserved better. I was shocked to see so much artistic freedom used at the expense of the comic book fans... the real key audience I might add. If you watched the first two movies, it's only fitting that you watch this one but if you are anything like me, you'll be let down like I was. I don't want to spoil the movie for anyone so I won't give anything away except to say that the story was horrible. What happened to NightCrawler? Why is Storm so tame compared to the real power and leadership she has? Why don't we really ever see the Phoenix as shown in the comic? Why is Magneto, Xavier, Rogue, Juggernaut, Mystique and Leech all altered so dramatically from their comic book versions? This movie is insulting to any real fan of the X-Men comics and I know you'll scream like I did at the liberties taken in this final movie.
