This is a really stupid movie. But sometimes stupidity works if it's done in the right way. I found that I cared about the characters, or at least was interested to see what happened with them next, the ridiculous plot carried me along, the movie's message seemed sincere, even if it's probably note the answer to the problems of the Mideast. LOTS of dirty jokes and gross-out humour... it's about as low-brow as you can go, but if Meet The Spartans had been half as funny or thought out, it would have been worth the money. It did seem a little unfair to paint a WASP-y rich guy and a gang of rednecks as the ultimate villains of the story, but hey, somebody has to play the part, right? I don't think Mel Gibson is really an anti-Semite either, but he can stand to take a few shots just the same.
