This movie was utterly terrible, not a single laugh, I should have walked out. I can't understand how anyone could rate this movie above a 2, it's just that bad. It truly makes me sad that audiences accept this kind of garbage. Isn't there anyone in Hollywood with a brain?

I didn't laugh the whole way through like expected. I know a few people who agree with me, this didn't live up to the hype. Sure, go see it, but beware, it's not as funny as it may seem. One of Steve Carell's worse acts.

I had a good belly laugh a few times in this movie which is more than I expected. I wanted to see a comedy and it made me laugh, what more can I say.

Save your time and money. If you've seen the trailer, then you've seen all the good parts. I can't believe a film with so many of todays hot actors in the funny business in it was such a bomb.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. My expectations weren't high to begin with, the movie was 100% better than I expected. There were many genuinely funny scenes. Steve Carrall does a fantastic job playing the goofball character and Paul Rudd deserves a nod for his believable character.

I have never laughed so hard in a long time. It was great. I just think the editing of the movie could have been better.

An entertaining movie with lots of laughs. Not the best however but still very much worth seeing. Seeing this movie makes me want to see the original from France however simply to compare the two. Overall it's definitely worth seeing in theatres.

Love Paul Rudd in this... he just can't catch a break! Steve Carrell is terrific as his so-awkward-you-almost-want-to-look-away friend.

A hilariously smart and akward comedy with a great ensemble. I really enjoyed it... and not simply because I am Carell's Number 1 fan!!

I really enjoyed this movie. Steve Carrell does a fantastic job. He made his character odd beyond reason but some how still real enough so that you could empathize with him. It wasn't one of those movies where you cannot enjoy it because you are too embarrased and uncomfortable. And believe it or not there is a good message in there as well.

One of the best movies I've ever seen. If you enjoy Zach Galifianakis' or Steve Carell's humor, you'll find this movie hilarious.

Slow at times, and not Paul Rudd's best by any means, but Dinner for Schmucks is Steve Carrell's movie by a long shot. When watching this, you may find that the glue holding this movie together is Carrell, who is back to his old Anchorman days that we all love. He brings in about 90% of the laughs, while the rest are scattered and forgotten. Zach Galifianakis is not as funny as you may think, but if you're still loving the Hangover, then anything he does will make you chuckle. Overall, the story is a bit dry, but worth seeing because of Steve Carrell alone.

Almost as funny as the original French version, but something was missing. I don't really know what though. I went on a Tuesday, and the cinema was about 40% full, mostly 15 years olds on date. I smiled most of the time (it wasn't funny enough to laugh out loud), but laughed out loud throward the end. Maybe if the audience was older and laughed more, I would myself have found it funnier. Who knows?

A painfull comedy that just can't seem to be funny! It was hard to watch, everything over the top with little taste or class. Like the stalker girl coming over and acting like a total... and why does he just sit in the car as she destroys it? Very few funny parts and made "The Other Guys" seem great!

Didn't like the first 20 minutes, but this movie was really funny. There was one joke that flew over my head but the guys next to my friend and I burst out laughing. Definitely not a memorable movie but very funny. I liked the understory. It's a maybe for renting.

This movie was hilarious. I laughed from start to finish. I think I might have to see it again because I laughed so hard I missed some of the one liners. You have to listen carefully for the play on words. I never watch movies twice... ever, but 3 days later I'm still chuckling. For me, this one is a contender with my all time favorite comedy, Meet the Parents!

I expected a lot more out of this amazing cast. I found this movie to be far too predictable and not nearly funny enough. With the amount of talent that was available, it is too bad the overall impression was so unimpressive. If you don't care about wasting a bit of time, and are half-busy doing something else, this is a great movie. If you are hoping for big laughs and a unique storyline, this may not hit the spot.

I haven't laughed this much in a long time. Steve Carell is amazing, though sort of annoying at times. It's not the most important film in the world, but it's a great laugh and I think the funniest movie so far this year.

WTH? Seeing this movie having a rating of 7+? It was a 3.5 at best. Long and boring up until the final climactic dinner scene. Steve Carrell tried his best for you to feel sympathy for his character - but it just wasn't happenin'. As for the theater's reaction - mild laughter here and there, however, there were no hearty belly laughs (let alone throughout the movie) Actually, I felt like I was watching "Movie for Schmucks" and, with the late comers sitting in my lap that wouldn't keep their yaps shut, it felt like I was watching this movie with some "extraordinary people". Really, a poor choice to watch this one. The preview for the next "Meet the parents" movie garnered more laughs than this movie did.

I am not really a fan of this type of humour to begin with, but this moovie was even worse that I could have ever imagined it to be. There is 2 hours and $12.00 wasted.

This movie will make you pee your pants it is that funny. I went in thinking this will be a typical guy comedy, I laughed the whole movie. Mostly when Steve Carell enters the movie is just hilarious. People clapped at the end. You never see that at a comedy! Go see it.

Went with my wife and both of us found it quirky and extremely funny. Tremendous supporting cast, the the self centered "artist" and the one night stand "stalker" were the highlights for us.

This movie had its moments. Steve Carell played the schmuck quite well. Paul Rudd was, well, Paul Rudd as he always is. There were a few drags, but there were also some very good parts, especially the famous dinner. Having seen the original French classic, I was anxious to see how Hollywood would redo it. As expected, this retelling of sorts is not bad, but could have been much better. 6/10.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.] This movie is not even worth a rental. I thought since it would be a good cast and these guys have a good track record, that the movie would be good, but no - I literally was so disinterested that I wanted to get up and leave. They comedy was very childish and I laughed maybe a few times in my head - but it was nothing of the calibre of 40 Year Old Virgin or The Hangover. The worst part is that the plot is the same as one on Family Matters with Urkle where each sorority member had to take a geek to the party and the person with the geekiest guest wins. Overlook this one.
