Maybe you shouldn't spend money on anything Hollywood produces, especially totally over the top stuff like Avatar. I haven't seen it yet but it's clear to me that you walked into it with a negative mindset and might want to stick to the "alternative" non-mainstream productions to get the moving and original stories you seek.

It's obvious you haven't seen the movie, all you do is read comments on the internet and then use them to make yourself look intelligent! I'm sorry but Jurassik park was only good when it came out because it brought a new genre/idea to the movie industry, THAT'S a movie with No story and no message whatsoever! Apocalypto was good but not even close to avatar, yes we all have our preferences and taste but seriously I doubt anyone who gives avatar a rating of 5/10! You say a waste of new upcoming Actors when in fact new actors want NOTHING less then a huge movie like Avatar to kick their careers, it gives them a name, a great passed experience and alot of money as well to help them. Before posting stupid senseless/pointless comments, why dont you actually go see the movie first! Maybe to some people it's not a 10/10, maybe it's not the best movie out there ever made, that's all fine with me, everyone has the right to their opinion (when they actually make sense) but a 5/10 is a total farce! Thx to the Internet, anyone, nowadays can just read the storyline of a movie and see a few images and then say (brag) that they saw the movie and then post comments about them. It's nothing new and it's pretty easy to spot such people because they usually post stupid irrelevant comments such as these! Btw, I have Nothing personal against you but I do against such pointless/irrelevant/stupid comments and against such poor taste! Enjoy the movie!
