When Clint came back as a 'different' but eerily similar character to his unknown cowboy from the old spaghetti westerns, it was a big success. I remember when it came out, thinking the character just couldn't have that magic still, yet he did. After Good the Bad, and the Ugly, Fistfull of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More, Pale rider slots in ahead of The Outlaw Josey Whales, no slouch of a movie either. Pale rider also smacks of good old fashion violent vindication in the face of the evil and corrupt, Eastwood style!
