This is an amazing movie, one of Atom's tightest and most compelling, about the stories we tell ourselves that twist complex realities into simple stereotypes. Playing on the twin tropes of terrorism and technology, Adoration explores how we are socialized, by our families or through media, to think certain ways and believe certain things. As a handful of riveting characters bounce off each other, they begin to see how they have been manipulated/blinded by their perceptions and have the possibility of a more nuanced way of approaching the world if they allow themselves to be openminded about it. A simple moral message, well-told.

Dull, pretentious and slow paced movie. Poor acting in a story that makes no sense.

A difficult thought provocative film definitely worth exploring.

Amazinggg, I love you Atom Egoyan. It was the most beautiful and true thing I've seen. Another great movie is Ararat also by Atom Egoyan. I love you man.

Scott Speedman is definitely awesome in his character... don't miss this movie!

Promising premise, but relied too much on character-provided narrative-type explanations for it to be worthy of a better rating. I think Atom Egoyan tackled a few too many things for the time allotted.

Intellectually-written, small-budgeted but well-executed. The ending is not convincing, but very thought provocative. Thank.

Incredibly focused and controlled filmmaking. Unlike anything by any other filmmaker anywhere.

Excellent story, (once I understood it) equally good acting, the music and photography is fabulous but the editing is choppy and therefore I found it difficult to follow the storyline till beyond half-way through.

Just saw the movie. Not impressed. Dislike the anti-Christianity - screaming at the audience that Christians are bigoted racists. I'm sure the burning of nativity figures will go down well with Christians who see this movie! A good story that was all over the place. I was re-writing it as I watched. I'm a Catholic who has always stood up for those discriminated against - regardless of their creed or colour. I won't be seeing any more of Atom's works, that's for sure.

Very dark. Great starring performance from everyone, including newcomer Devon Bostick!

I saw the film at the Toronto Film Festival. It is a very dark, well acted film. Everyone was excellent. I recommend it when you're looking for a mood driven film with great direction. The soundtrack is an essential character as well.
