This unofficial sequel to Carrie is one of De Palma's better films. I thought Kirk Douglas and Amy Irving were excellent. Interesting and nicely paced, bits of humour thrown in (which is refreshing) and overtones of Firestarter. Scanners ripped off the ending 3 years later - that's because it was such a fitting end to the government bodies manufacturing "weapons" they can't control.
