It was interesting - although a very dark topic - in fact the whole trilogy is very dark. The performances were excellent, but the plot line truly doesn't unfold until Red Riding: 1983. Can be very graphic at times - torture scenes are consistent throughout the whole series. Each part of the trilogy has a different director which keeps the perspectives interesting and engaging. Lots of cameos by great actors like Sean Bean, Mark Addy, and Peter Mullan. Should be watched chronologically - Red Riding 1974, Red Riding 1980 and Red Riding 1983.
