The movie is certainly watchable but as an MMA fan there are a few things that just did not add up. The fight scenes were nothing compared to any UFC event, many moves were over the top ridiculous or illegal, shot angles were taken to hide the mediocrity of the moves, the power of BJJ was exaggerated, this being 2011. Also a guy who is beaten up for nine rounds against three guys going up against another guy who has been in the ring for about thirty seconds -- that's really unlikely. It's also unlikely that a guy who was third rate in the UFC could retrain after 30 and then become the world's greatest fighter. So I doubt that many real MMA fans will praise this movie highly. It just isn't realistic enough around the elements that matter most to them. And if you aren't into MMA then why would you go to it at all?
