I was going to give it a 7 but the visual imagery is spectacular with some of the best CGI since Avatar (not on the same level though) An 8 seemed a little more fair. The plot is pretty standard, good vs evil and a coming of age teenager seeks and finds his potential. It might be frightening for really young ones as there are some dark moments but 8+ should be good with this one. Side note the evil owls sit on a curious ringed perch that consists of a snake head biting its own head... check into the brotherhood of the Snake?
