The acting is completely unspectacular, the story is simple and unprofound, and yes, the girls are scantily clad. I wouldn't go as far as to call it soft core porn as so many reviewers have on other sites, as to say so would suggest they've never seen soft core porn. But ya, there are really cute women in short skirts wielding swords. That too is fairly unremarkable in my opinion. The big point is the directing and digital work once again, as it was with 300 and the Watchmen for instance. I am a big fan of Zack Snyder's directing, but judging by this movie, I'm certainly not sold on his writing. The movie plays like an amazing series of digital graphic video sequences, their significance in terms of storyline is almost non-existent but for me personally the videos are just worth the price of admission. On big screen, with big sound there is some point if you're a Snyder fan. On DVD, I'd say don't even bother.
