Picked this movie on DVD. I enjoy watching Sean Bean and the young actor from the series "Pillars of Earth". Funny that both Sean Bean and Nicolas Cage, who have worked together on National Treasure, would each do a take on the "Black Plague". I must say that this version is by far the better of the two, no special effects, just simple out in the woods filming. The sets are great and the wardrobe is very good. I am not a historian, so I am not sure of the accuracy in the uniforms, weapons and dwellings. That aside, this movie was great and a shame that it did not do well over here. Rent it and then buy it like myself.
