Great movie! I love the original show! A bit too musical for my taste though...

A nice family film. Some cute and funny parts. Overall a heartwarming, feel-good movie that reminds us how good old clean entertainment used to be... and still can be. I was expecting a bit more since I'm a huge fan of the Muppet Treasure Island movie. I especially liked the celeb cameos and Jim Parson's appearance. Added a nice touch for the "non-child" demographic.

What I like about this movie is that it really isn't a kids movie. It's for adults who grew up watching the Muppets on TV! But, it's also for parents who want to introduce their kids to the Muppets. I love Animal! I share alot of personality with him!

The muppets are back! Lots of musical numbers and comedy for kids and adults. Definitely worth it!

Really not bad, if it's cheap seats, then O. K. Otherwise don't spend the money, disappointing. Drags and drags.

This is an excellent family movie. Reminded me of how much fun the original series was.

I loved this movie! It was as good as the original Muppets. When I saw the cast, I asked, 'Why did they pick them?' But I believe they picked very well; they did a great job! I love the subtle intelligent quips that if you weren't listening, you would have missed them, just as in the original Muppets. Definitely 2 thumbs up!!! Maniacal Laugh, Maniacal Laugh; loved it!!!

It's pretty good. I felt like it could have been a little better, but I'd still tell people to see it.

Well written, funny, great characters... a true homage to the Muppets.

Never seen the muppets before. But I kind of new what it was. Went with people who knew it well. They seemed to have liked it. But for me it was a movie for very young children. The same scenario have been seen in almost all american movies for the last 30 years (same "evil vs good story" over and over where they just changed the actors, the context and the special effects) I guess you can rely to this movie if it was part of your education-culture.

I used to really love the muppets, but I guess I am too old to appreciate them now.

The movie is about a puppet, the bigest muppet fan in the world, who goes to holywood to see the muppet studios. But when he gets there, he finds out that it's going to get turned into an oil extraction zone unless the muppets pay them 1 000 000 dollars by the end of the week, so he goes to find Khermit the frog so he can get the gang back together and put on a show. I don't know how, but it seems that the voices of the characters are the same as 20 years ago, which I found really cool. They also kept all the characters, in addition to a new one. The special effects where awesome too, there where some great explosions. They also made some pretty funny montages. I found that for a movie that's about talking puppets, it's a must see, hilarious movie, not only are there great jokes, but the storyline itself is funny.

I was so excited to see The Muppets when the trailers came out that I was left a tad disappointed in the movie, it was good but not as good as I had hoped. I also could do with a little less singing. This is a good family movie but as a rental for sure.

Loved it!!! Loved Jason!!! Loved Amy!!! Great feel good movie. My 3 year old loved it too!!
| 10/10 | jesssaysoj@ - first review 4.1.2012 - age: 26-35 |
It was an okay movie. I found that a lot of the jokes to come off flat. The script could've also been better. Apart from that the muppets are just too cool. The songs were either really good or really bad. I would rent it if I were you.

How can you not fall in love with The Muppets! They are so adorable with lots of learning experiences in a fun way. Beautiful movie, awesome cast and loved every moment of it! A feel good movie that will put a big smile on your face. Glad to see the whole gang back on the Big Screen that is.

For fans of the old show, this brings back more of that feel than most of the other Muppet movie, which was a joy for me. But the Amy Adams arc either had her character down for most of the movie or Amy wasn't having fun. Either way it was a distraction. On second viewing it was still good but no longer "great" since I already know the surprises, bits and guest appearances. Highly recommended for Muppets fans and people who appreciate puny humour.

The Muppets (movie) is a remake of the Muppets show, a tv-show. It's a musical comedy with Jason Segel, Amy Adams and many others. Walter (a puppet) is the Muppets biggest fan. One day, Walter has the opportunity to visit the Muppets studios with his brother, Gary. But a problem happens. To solve this problem, Walter joins the Muppets team to do a telethon. The music is really nice and entertaining. Often, the characters start to sing to express their emotion. The puppet characters are cuter and more charming than the human ones. Animal he is my favourite puppet, he is so funny. I recommend this movie to everyone because the Muppets is one of the most hilarious movie I ever seen.

The Muppets show is the romantic comedy, musical movie. In this movie the principal personage is Gary and Walter, they are best friends since very long time. They love very much [the] emission "Muppets show" since they [were] kids, but now the emission Muppets show [don't] exist anymore. Gary, Walter and Mary (Mary she is the girlfriend of Gary) goes to Hollywood [to visit] the ancient theatre of Muppets show. The song, music in this film is very fun but sometimes it is weird... but is not bad. The story is very cute, happiness, romantic, but sometimes it has overlong passages. The [main] personages are the muppets, the names for the muppets are very nice. Example: Fozzie, Miss Pyggi, Gonzo, Kermit... I don't see special effects in this movie, but if it has effects they're very good effects, because I don't see it. [...] Humans in this movie are Jason Segel and Amy Adams, they are very good these actors. It is a very good family movie but [more] for the young. I recommend for the kids or for the family, me I went to the [movie] with my mom and I really liked it!

I thought this movie was funny when they were trying to kidnap this celebrity, and everyone was wearing masks, and Miss Piggy said "everyone put their mask on" and one of the muppets said "how come you're not wearing one? " and Miss Piggy said "I'm not going to hide this beautiful face".

Grew up watching the original show and movies and enjoyed this. The songs were good. There was only one scene that fell flat but not a big deal. Aimed for the same warmth and kindness of the first movie and didn't disappoint.

This should win best picture this year. I can't believe they were able to make such a great Muppets movie. There were so many ways to screw it up and they basically achieved perfection. 10/10.

The Muppets is an enjoyable movie - but not something I would watch twice. The puppets are wonderful, but the main characters seem a little uncomfortable in their singing/dancing roles. With the exception of Chris Cooper who plays a deliciously bad villain. I sat next to a 3yr old who did not find the movie very engaging. I think it appeals to an older audience.

I love all the Muppets show/movie, this is not that best, however since last time, it has been more than 10 years. I would say I quite miss the old Disney movie with all the dance and sing scenes, the new role is not that fit in this movie.
| 8/10 | shortytimmy@ - 34 reviews 27.12.2011 - age: 26-35 |
Absolute perfection! Hilarious, heartwarming, and inspirational! Truly a worthy Muppet sequel, if not a better film than even the original. To tell of any part of this movie would spoil it for you. Whether young or old anyone can love this movie. We sat in a theatre where we were the youngest ones there and everyone was laughing and cheering at this timeless gem of a movie. See it now or see it again! An instant Muppet classic.
