It was utterly slow and ever so boring for me although I sat and saw the whole thing just because.

It's a funny movie, laughed lots.

People shouldn't take this movie too seriously-worrying about "making the decision to bring a child into the world". IT'S A MOVIE! It isn't real! It's funny and sometimes bc it's relatable (friends who have kids then are grouchy and no longer fun) lol.

I must admit that I left the theater before the movie ended... so maybe I should not write a review since I may have missed a twist ending (like them NOT falling in love with each other).. but I doubt that happened... this was a very bad movie... disappointed bcs I am very much a supporter of alternative views on what a family is... friends raising a child fits that category... but DO NOT go see this movie.

A realistic film, funny with love, passion emotion, the life of couples in 2012. Go see.

This movie is just ok. The ending was foreseeable from before the roll in credits had finished. It was amusing but could have used a lot less of the gutter language. You go see it if you have some spare time and change. Better than watching golf reruns.

If you liked Bridesmaids and the Hangover, then you'll love this slightly-more-serious pic about an unconventional relationship. Have fun.

I love most of the actors in this movie... and I think I may have gone in with higher expectations. The movie is alright... has funny moments has some VERY REAL moments as well. I found myself liking the more real moments more than the funny ones. Jennifer Westfeldt wasn't my favourite actress, at times she came off as either being too cute or too desperate.

Great film, very well written. Highly recommend this to any smart, savvy film buffs out there.

I really liked this movie. Very accurate portrayal of how obnoxioux some new parents can appear to their friends. Take a good look people!

Watched the first 30 minutes of this movie, and all it did was annoy me. They really over do it with the whole kids screaming in the background... and the parts where the babies/kids are crying... seems to be jacked up super loud which made it super hard on the ears. Very slow movie...

Great cast, interesting plot, some fantastic acting (except for the male and female leads) and raw moments that ring true. But it manages to insult men and women of all ages in its attempt to blend shock 'guy' humour with a saccharine Hollywood ending. People were laughing during the 'tender' scenes, and I nearly barfed in my mouth. Oh sorry, do you find that crude?

This movie has an immature pretense, written and directed by someone trying to capitalize on the ever-increasing immature beliefs of an ever increasing and ignorant ME FIRST population. Poorly acted, cast, and simply narcissistic writing - lets get this out of the theatres now.

Hated it. Jennifer Westfeldt is a triple threat - she can't act, write or direct. She really needed to cast someone else in the lead besides herself as she takes the air out of the room with her bad acting. Plus, she looked too old for the part. Supporting cast were good and the movie should have featured them. Then maybe, it could have been an actual comedy.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
Initially, I found this movie disappointing, and overly graphic. The language was unnecessarily crude. Too much arguing made certain scenes almost unintelligible. Given the difficulties of their friends, It was difficult to understand the protagonists' reason for wanting a child. The turning point in the film for me was the scene in the cabin -- poignant, with very convincing performances from the two male actors engaged in the argument. So many emotions came to the fore. Equally moving was the scene when the child's mother reveals for love for the biological father. During the earlier minutes of the film, I thought coming to the cinema was a big mistake. However, after the "cabin" scene, I completely changed my opinion, and was very glad I decided to stay until the conclusion. My husband agreed. This film is all about the responsibility of making the decision to bring a child into the world, and more people should be mindful of how weighty that responsibility is. Being impulsive, irresponsible, or unmindful of how a child, in later years, will adjust to the "unusual" circumstances of his/her birth could prove catastrophic.

I loved this movie. I think it's relatable for a lot of single women who sense their clock ticking. I think it's also believable that two best friends can fall in love and that their kid brings them together. Loved it!

The lead guy in this movie was a total mis-cast. The movie might have had more of a shot on its already ridiculous premise if the role was played by a Charlie Sheen type... Or maybe Charlie Sheen himself from 15 years ago... I couldn't get by the fact that the lead was a wimpy/metrosexual kind of guy, plus he was annoying, they even joke about it in the movie how he's kind of gay... don't rent it, instead rent Kissing Jessica Stein... it's the same main actress from that movie.

This is the type of movie I would recommend a friend to see. The story was great with a balance of comedy and serious issue.

I didn't find this movie funny at all. More like a drama not a comedy and not a good one. Cast was good, but the story is silly, especially the end, not realistic at all.

An unexpected pleasure. :) It does follow some conventional rules of the friends-who-will-probably-fall-in-love genre and I swear some lines seemed lifted straight out of "When Harry Met Sally" but the film and the cast is so darn likeable. It goes on about 10 minutes too long but that's a minor quibble.

The movie was not bad and was more of a dramedy than a rom-com. Thought there was lack of chemistry between the two leads and didn't experience that many lol moments. Thumbs down for me.

Such a disappointment and waste of a potentially great cast. It really wasn't funny at all; kind of depressing actually. And yes, it just reinforces traditional conservative values as all these movies seem to do. Boo.

This is a Hollywood movie, a relationship movie (not so much a rom-com) and it is funny and well acted for the most part. So if you can accept that it will follow all of the Hollywood conventions for this genre then stop reading here and go see it. This film like so many others that have seem to have as premise, a challenge of social conventions (Friends with benefits, Wanderlust, Newlyweds) caves on its premise and forces traditionalist view of relationships as if there is no possible way that people could ever organize themselves in any other way than a romantic couple and be happy or successful. It would be refreshing to see someone take a chance that perhaps the middle would be more accepting of a non traditional version of family where it actually works out. Not as bad as some but in the end just a gutless.

Starts off a little slow to my thinking but 20 minutes in it's a laugh a minute. I had the privilege of sitting near a couple of folks with great laughs, that added a lot. It was great to be around a group of people (all 10 or twelve of us) who really enjoyed themselves. A good movie for a rainy afternoon. The only down side for some will be the language, but I loved it all.
