[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
This movie is best viewed with an open state of mind. Perhaps if you drank some absinthe, like the characters do, then you will enjoy the full spectrum of surealism. Based on the writers Lord Byron, Percy Shelley and Mary Shelley, the story does ring somewhat true to the extra-curricular activites of writers from the time. Lord Byron used opium, and most likely all them used absinthe, laudanum and morphine at one time or another - which explains all the deliriously artistic and peculiar scenes. Basically it's an art film - to be enjoyed as such.
