Yup, another movie about the injustices of war. Another movie about how young men don’t know what they are getting into when joining the marine core or any military unit for that matter. If you are expecting endless violence, explosions and the sort, this movie is not for you. If you are more interested in the boredom faced while waiting for something to happen and anti-bush references, then this is for you. There’s nothing new in this retelling of yet another soldier’s hell. Yet, it is entertaining nonetheless. I was glad to find out what a jarhead meant as I was thinking of a character in an Archies comicbook with a similar name. If it were not for the fact that some couple brought their 1 year old daughter to this movie, I may have enjoyed it more but hey, that’s Cote Des Neiges for ya!
