What a wonderful movie! Everyone associated with making it should be extremely proud of the finished product and the messages it sends, and there are many. I cried many times because of the sheer joy of Akeelah's journey and her relationship with all she came in contact with. I am so very glad I went and I am recommending it to everyone I know.
