The special effects and acting were pretty good - however my main complaint is Michael Bay's directing. The fighting/action sequences were so fast and dizzying that you could scarcely see what was happening - it was atrocious - the last 45 minutes was a non-stop migraine inducing blur. Everything else was fine, although a rather boring, simple plotline - which is what it is meant to be. I prefer the old cartoon.
