For fifty nights, Montreal's hip, artsy Mile End becomes an open-air studio, where ordinary life is captured, making the neighbourhood a unique conceptual space. For his first documentary, Jean-François Lesage documented a young man's late-night meanderings. As we follow him through streets and into apartments, his encounters with friends and strangers weave the fabric of a film that seeks an original answer to an eternal question: how do you mend a broken heart? Love, loneliness, youth, night and Montreal: a bittersweet tale, as free as it is sincere.
