Once a talented chef in his prime, Camilo is now a worn-out fifty-year-old man working for a cleaning company. One can sense a personal failure in the past of this solitary immigrant settled in Montreal. However, Camilo wishes to turn his life around, and the opportunity to rediscover his culinary passion finally presents itself: a former colleague is giving him a chance at a cozy restaurant in La Malbaie. Everything is in place for this fresh start when Camilo receives a visit from his daughter Tania, with whom he had severed ties due to her addiction issues. Tania informs him that he is a grandfather and asks him to take care of the child while she undergoes yet another detoxification treatment. The arrival of this grandson disrupts Camilo's plans: there will indeed be a new beginning for him, but not the one he had envisioned.
